QUIZ ON JAPAN – 2010 for Chennai City School Students

Twenty years before a summer vacation became very meaningful for three small girls when they came with an magnificent idea of creating a question bank with answers on Japan which could become a “Quiz Program” on Japan for the Chennai City School Children. These three girls viz: Shobana, Sadhana, and Harshida sowed the seed which has grown into a sixteen year old tree attracting every year around 100 students from 50 schools.

ABK - AOTS DOSOKAI, Tamilnadu Centre conducts the inter school "Quiz Program" annually on the Theme Japan for the Students of 10th , 11th & 12th Standards of Chennai City Schools. The Quiz Programme is designed to test the awareness of the Students about Japan. The questions will be in English on various aspects of Japan – its land, its geography, its people, its festivals, its religion, its contribution to literature, its rituals, its weather, and anything and everything connected with Japan. The Quiz program is being conducted in three stages viz. Preliminary, Semi Final & Final as follows :-

This year around 65 students from 33 Schools participated in the preliminary round held on 17th July 2010 in which the students of the following 15 schools have been selected to Quarter Final to be held on 24.07.2010 at 9.00 a.m. at our center
